Engineering precision into every casting.

Our machining process is designed to do more than reproduce existing parts. Every casting is carefully analysed through an in-depth wear analysis report, with our engineers looking for opportunities to strengthen the design and extend service life. By combining advanced machining technology with a deep understanding of mining conditions, we create components that stand up to the harshest environments.

In some cases, the material used is not suitable for the application. The benefit of machining a new component is that we can cast the new part in a more suitable material, whether it be chrome white iron, heavy duty steel (Wolfram) or polyurethane. A simple material change can have a dramatic impact on the longevity of a part.

Our aim is to build a safer and more sustainable future in mining.

Key benefits

Why better castings build stronger, more resilient operations.

Choosing engineered castings from 7D means more than simply replacing worn parts. It’s an investment in stronger performance, longer service life, and greater reliability across your operation.

By reducing failures and extending durability, our castings help sites run more efficiently, keep maintenance predictable, and allow teams to focus on production rather than constant repair.

Stronger castings also create flow-on benefits across site operations. With more reliable components in place, equipment runs smoother, schedules stay on track, and teams spend less time reacting to failures.

Benefits include:

  • Reduced downtime with longer-lasting components
  • Lower lifecycle costs through fewer replacements
  • Improved safety by reducing the risk of failures
  • More sustainable operations with less waste
